Writing for Wellness—Mondays, August 4, 18
and September 15, 29, 11:15 a.m.–12:45 p.m.

Based on the book “Writing for Wellness—A Prescription for Healing” by Julie Davey. Participants create their own writings. Each group follows a particular theme.


Bunco—Tuesdays, August 12 and September 9, 12:30-2:30 p.m.

A game played in teams with dice. No previous experience needed just come have fun. Bring a friend!


Sound Connections—Tuesdays, August 12 and September 9, 6–8 p.m.

Julie Murillo, MT-BC (Music Therapist-Board Certified) presents. Play music by drumming, humming, singing, songwriting, sound exploration, and more. No musical skill necessary!


Music and Expressive Arts—Thursdays, August 14, 28
and September 11, 25 10 a.m.–noon

Dalena Watson, LPC, FAMI, MT-BC, facilitates exploration and expression through a variety of ways including music making and listening, imagery, art, and writing. Each class has a different theme.


Creative Arts in Healing—Fridays, August 8
and September 12, 26, 10 a.m.–noon

Create sculptures with ceramicist, Joy Kockerbeck. No experience needed. Materials provided.


Book Club—Tuesday, September 16, 12:15–1:30 p.m.

TWC Facilitator, Anne Lackey, M Ed, LPC, leads ongoing bimonthly discussion—September’s book is “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff” by Richard Carlson. No need to read or finish book to join.  All Welcome.


Day of Mindfulness—Saturday, September 6, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

Join TWC Facilitator, Denise Daup, MA, LPC, for a day of mindful attention and self care, including sitting and walking meditation, gentle yoga and tai chi, deep relaxation, and journal writing. We will develop and strengthen our ability to be more fully alive, present and aware in each moment. A light lunch and snacks will be provided. RSVP.


Sleep and Stress Reduction for Cancer—Thursday, September 18, 6–8 p.m.

Join Teri Britt Pipe, PhD, RN, Director of Nursing Research and Chair of the Nursing Research Committee at Mayo Clinic and Associate Professor of Nursing at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. Sleep and rest are essential to overall health and well-being, stress can challenge sleep. Learn skills to help your body unwind relax and get healthy sleep. RSVP.


Ask the Horticulturist—Tuesday, September 23, 1–3 p.m.

Join professional horticultural therapist, Dawna Sterner, in a “hands on” potting activity. Horticultural therapy uses plants and horticultural activities to improve a person’s body, mind and spirit. RSVP.
