NEW WEBINAR TO BE DEVELOPED FOR YOUNGER WOMEN WITH ADVANCED BREAST CANCER
Our education program, Frankly Speaking About Advanced Breast Cancer, was created specifically for women diagnosed with advanced (metastatic) breast cancer. The current materials cover topics ranging from treatment and pro-active side effect management, to short and longer-term quality of life issues among older women. In partnership with the Young Survival Coalition (www.youngsurvival.org) we are in the process of developing a webinar that will adapt the program for younger women (age 45 and under) with advanced breast cancer to address their age-specific psychosocial support needs.
In order to accomplish this, we need your help in promoting our survey. The survey will allow us to identify the unique challenges that young women with advanced breast cancer face and what information or support services are most desired. We invite you to promote the survey by posting the link on your website and encouraging your audience to take the time to complete our short survey. We appreciate your help!
The direct link to the survey is: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FSA_ABC and it is on CSC's main website at http://www.cancersupportcommunity.org/mm/Learn-About/cancertype/Quality-of-Life--Breast-Cancer/Advanced-Breast-Cancer.aspx and http://www.cancersupportcommunity.org/mm/Learn-About/cancertype/Quality-of-Life--Breast-Cancer.aspx.
The survey will be available for completion for 3 - 4 weeks, after which time we will analyze the responses and develop an online program reflective of the voices of the respondents. We will be in touch with information about the program once it is available.
If you have any questions about the survey, please feel free to contact Ivy Ahmed at Ivy@cancersupportcommunity.org.
